Unlike massage therapy, which focuses primarily on muscle relaxation, our approach combines Occupational Therapy assessment with specialized Craniosacral Therapy and Myofascial Release techniques. We focus on identifying and treating the root causes of dysfunction—not just the symptoms. Each session is guided by detailed assessment of your posture, movement patterns, and tissue quality.

Your first visit includes:

  • A thorough review of your health history and current concerns
  • Postural and movement assessment
  • Hands-on evaluation and treatment
  • Discussion of findings and treatment recommendations
  • Home exercises and self-care guidance

Please allow 90 minutes for your initial session and wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.

The number of sessions varies depending on your condition, its duration, and your body’s response to treatment. Some patients experience significant improvement in 3-5 sessions, while chronic or complex conditions may require ongoing care. We’ll discuss a treatment plan after your initial assessment and adjust as needed based on your progress.

We recommend booking 1-2 weeks in advance to secure your preferred time slot. For new patients, earlier booking is encouraged as initial sessions require additional time. If you need an urgent appointment, please call—we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee, as that appointment time could have been offered to another patient in need. We understand emergencies happen and will always work with you in those situations.

We are currently a private-pay practice. We can provide you with a detailed receipt (superbill) that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Many patients find that their insurance covers a portion of occupational therapy services. We recommend contacting your insurance provider to understand your out-of-network benefits.

Craniosacral Therapy is gentle and generally safe for most people, including infants, children, and the elderly. However, there are certain conditions where CST may not be appropriate, including:

  • Acute intracranial hemorrhage
  • Intracranial aneurysm
  • Recent skull fracture

During your initial consultation, we’ll review your health history to ensure CST is appropriate for you.

Yes! Anne holds specialized certifications in neonatal therapy (NTMTC and CNT). She has extensive experience treating infants for conditions including colic, feeding difficulties, torticollis, plagiocephaly, and birth-related tension patterns. Craniosacral Therapy is extremely gentle and well-tolerated by infants.

Craniosacral Therapy uses very light touch (about the weight of a nickel) and should not be painful. Myofascial Release may involve sustained pressure that can produce temporary discomfort as restrictions release, but this is always within your comfort level. You are always in control and can communicate your comfort level at any time during treatment.
